Figure 2: High level Overview of a Task Team
Each Task Team is responsible to implement their specific Targets and submit reports to the United Nations for each of the Targets annually / as required, once a specific request has been received from UNECE and other UN agencies. These annual reports will highlight progress each year towards the 2030 deadline
Requests from UN Water have so far arrived unexpectedly and with limited time to compile and submit. A formal schedule has been requested for effective future planning by DWS. Each report requires a signature from the Task Team Leader responsible for the report before an email submission to UN Water can be made through STATSSA and by the due date.
Following the UN Report submission, each Task Team will prepare a Gap Report specifically relating to their responsible sub-goal which will identify key issues that need to be addressed by the Sector, including DWS in order to reach the 2030 objectives.
A consolidated bi-annual Status Report will be compiled using Gap reports from each Task Team. This Status report will be used to influence ?vehicles of change? such as the National Water & Sanitation Masterplan (NW&SMP) and the National Water & Sanitation Resource Strategy 2 (NW&SRS2).
